Pavin, Senior share Allianz lead
Pavin followed up his opening-round eight-under-par 64 with a more sedate 70 to lie on 10 under par for the tournament, while Senior shot a 68 to join the American at the top of the pile.
TaylorMade RocketBallZ RBZ 3H,4H 5-9PS Combo set Seasoned campaigners Mark Calcavecchia and Bernhard Langer lie only one shot off the pace, however - Calcavecchia after a 68 and Langer a 69 - and both will be a force to reckon with in Sunday's third and final round.
Pavin looked to set to hold the lead on his own as he led by two heading to the 17th, but he bogeyed there, while Senior birdied the 18th to draw level.
"I played
TaylorMade RocketBallZ RBZ 3H,4H 5-9PS Combo set solidly," Pavin told pgatour.com. "I didn't get as much out of this round as I did (Friday), but it was difficult out there with the wind coming from a different direction."
Senior started slowly, bogeying the par-five first hole, but came back strongly with five birdies in his last 13 holes. He also led by one heading into the final round of this event last year, but shot a 77 to finish well off the pace.
"I have more confidence than I did this time last year, because I'm playing better," Senior said. "I know I'm close to winning."
Calcavecchia was three over after three holes, then finished with seven birdies.
"I wasn't thinking about winning when I walked to the fourth tee, I can promise you that," Calcavecchia said. "I have never been this consistent in my career. If I putt well, I'm going to have a good chance."
Langer lives just minutes away from this course and has already tasted victory here before, two years ago.
